Learn some simple safety tips for working on scaffolding.
What are Adjustable Stair Systems?
Adjustable stair systems are specifically designed to provide safe, temporary working access to most sloped surfaces—rail/road embankments, gravel pits, riverbanks, trenches, accident sites, earth retaining walls, vehicles, building levels, etc.—as long as anchoring is possible. Parastair, Best Stair and TS Walkway systems can be used as individual stairs or can be joined together to create longer runs, making it easy to find the perfect solution for multiple project locations and heights.
Why Should You Use a Parastair System?
In BC, employers are responsible for providing employees with stairways—made up of at least framing, treads, and a handrail—to all work levels during a construction project. This means that, before construction on the next floor or deck surface can begin, there must be a proper stairway in place for workers to use to move between levels. Installing a stairway during the building process will ensure that all workers have a safe and easy method of access from one floor to the next. If a proper stairway is not in place before work begins on the next floor or deck surface, the jobsite will be in violation of section 20.5(5) of the Safe Work Areas and Safe Access Regulation.
